Iron Mind returned in 2025 with their first album in over a decade, Test of the Iron Mind. Released in June via Last Ride Records/Flatspot Records, the album was produced by Otis Bennie (AWOL), recorded by Sam Johnston at The Black Lodge and mixed by Taylor Young at The Pit.
Released to fantastic reviews, the five-piece also embarked on their first headline Australian tour in 11 years. Now the lads are hitting the road again for a special run of dates this February.
Starting the tour in Melbourne at Stay Gold on Thursday 12 February, Iron Mind follows with gigs at Sydney’s Bootleggers on Friday 13 February, Canberra’s The Baso on Saturday 14 February, Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge on Thursday 19 February and Gold Coast’s Vinnie’s Dive Bar on Friday 20 February, finishing the tour in Adelaide at the Ed Castle on Saturday 21 February.

Melbourne’s Iron Mind have been dishing out hellish riffs for almost two decades, breaking through in 2009 with their 2009 The Sun Has Set.
Two years later, they dropped their acclaimed debut album, Hell Split Wide Open. Three years later came the follow-up Iron Mind, which led to the band touring with Turnstile, Terror, No Warning, Harm’s Way and more.
After several years of inactivity with the occasional live show, Iron Mind reemerged in 2023 with the single Assume Your Ultimate Form’, leading to the release of their latest album.
