Are Los Palms a garage-rock band with a psych lean? Surf-rockers with a western twinge? Or maybe everything all at once? Indeed, it’s this wonderful problem of categorisation they face on their latest track, ‘From The Shadows’. Their first new track since 2022’s Skeleton Ranch album, the Adelaide five-piece return with a jangly single that urges the listener to seek help whenever it’s needed. One could easily see the late Sergio Leone using ‘From The Shadows’ to soundtrack his films, but it’s easy to latch onto the western sound and run with it. Instead, this is Los Palms doing what they do best; crafting a track as irresistible as it is cinematic.
Sounds like: A casual mosey down the high plains of the old west.

Sounds like: ‘Hit The Lights’ cooler younger brother who drinks Pirate Life and not Prosecco.
Sounds like: Chevelle collaborating with Phil Campbell after a beer and BBQ session.
