Nexus Arts continues its commitment to supporting and highlighting South Australian artists with the announcement of its three-part 2025 Interplay Performance Series this November.
The organisation’s Interplay program supports the development of contemporary musicians from culturally diverse and First Nations backgrounds. Nexus Arts gives artists a dedicated space to develop, share and connect, with the 2025 Interplay program featuring six incredibly talented artists performing original music at three headline shows next month.
Launching on Saturday 15 November, the first showcase at Nexus Arts features performances from Nahlla and LENI. Colombian-Australian singer-songwriter Nahlla was recently named one of two inaugural recipients of the Cultivate @ Nexus Arts residency and is currently developing new works to premiere at the 2026 Adelaide Fringe.
Joining her is soulful R&B meets folk storyteller Chilean-born LENI, who is gearing up for the release of her new EP, MORE LOVE X.
The second event takes place on Saturday 22 November and sees soulful singer-songwriter San Dragan alongside award-winning indie pop artist My Chérie.
The final night of the 2025 program will take place on Saturday 29 November, with performances by First Nations Gugada (Kokatha) artist, singer, and songwriter Sonia Smith, who just performed at BIGSOUND 2025, and proud Ngarrindjeri and Gunditjmara singer-songwriter Katie Aspel, whose latest single ‘Fakin’ It’ is out now via First Nations label Bad Apples Music.
The Interplay program is supported by the Government of South Australia through the Music Development Office and is a fantastic initiative helping shine a light on Adelaide’s diverse music scene.
