Party Dozen Announce ‘Crime in Australia’ National Tour
The four-date tour comes in support of the noise-rock duo’s upcoming album, Crime in Australia.
Sydney duo Party Dozen have announced a national tour in support of their forthcoming album, Crime in Australia, which is set for release on Friday, September 6 via Grupo (pre-order here)
Comprising Kirsty Tickle (saxophone) and Jonathan Boulet (percussion), Party Dozen’s improvisational songwriting style has seen them gain a cult following and spawned three albums; The Living Man (2017), Pray for Party Dozen (2020) and The Real Work (2022). With their fourth album in the bag, the noise-rock duo are ready to hit the road and perform tracks from the album alongside fan favourites.
The band’s Australian tour commences in Adelaide at Crown & Anchor on Thursday, September 26. The duo then have shows booked in Melbourne at Brunswick Ballroom on Friday, September 27 and Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on Thursday, October 3, before the final date of the tour at Black Bear Lodge in Brisbane on Friday, October 6.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now via this link.

Along with hitting the road, Party Dozen have shared new single, ‘Money & The Drugs’, which you can listen to above. The third single taken from Crimes in Australia follows ‘Wake in Might’ and ‘The Big Man Upstairs’ and is another chaotic expression of noise that’s both disarming and enlightening.
“The first section of this song is inspired by a sound that we heard at the airport pick up zone in Sydney’,” says Boulet. “A small aircraft coming in to land low would project this low bending rumble into the cement car park filling it with resonant frequencies.
“‘Money & the Drugs’ features Kirsty really letting it out into her saxophone void. Then it picks up a coupla gears into a rockin’ frenzy. It’s one of our most fun songs to play live. But sometimes too much of a good thing can land you in deep water. Sometimes this song gets away from us.”
The accompanying music video was shot by Aaron Streatfeild and Will Agnew at New Zealand’s Camp A Low Hum festival earlier this year. Edited by Boulet, it captures the frenzied euphoria of a Party Dozen show and is a good indication of what you can expect from their four-date national tour.
Catch Party Dozen at Crown & Anchor on Thursday, September 26. Tickets on sale now via Moshtix. You can pre-order a copy of Crimes in Australia here.
