Second Rally To Save the Cranker Announced
The Save the Cranker team continue to apply the pressure.

The fight to save the Crown and Anchor continues with the organiser behind the official Save the Cranker campaign announcing another rally locked in for this August.
Kicking off at Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga on Sunday, August 18 at 1pm, everyone is urged to come along and show their support for the Cranker as the march heads to the steps of Parliament House before finishing at the Crown and Anchor.
Commenting about the rally, organisers said: “We're marching again to show the Government we mean business. This time...we're going to need a bigger truck. You won't want to miss this!”
While details are scarce, expect something similar to the last rally, except with a bigger turnout and a few more surprises.

The announcement comes after it was revealed a massive 1,328 SCAP submissions were received by Plan SA, smashing the previous record.
“Thank you, community from the bottom of our hearts,” the Save the Cranker team said in a statement.
“We look forward to all submissions being published by Plan SA. Having read many of them, they are a heartfelt testament to how cherished the Cranker is in our collective consciousness.”
If you’re wondering what else you can do to help the campaign besides frequenting the Cranker and attending the upcoming rally, the Save the Cranker crew want to ramp up the pressure on the government by getting everyone to send letters to their local member of parliament to help change current legislation so that it protects sites of cultural significance like the Crown and Anchor.
