Having supported Alpha Wolf on their sold out Australian tour earlier this year, Swedish metalcore ragers thrown are heading back our way on their own headline tour.

The tour comes in support of the band’s recently released debut album, Excessive Guilt. Having found a kingship with Aussie heavy music fans, thrown have locked in eight dates across the country.

The tour includes support from German metalcore act HALF ME and Brisbane’s very own DIESECT.

thrown’s tour begins at Perth’s Amplifier bar on Thursday, February 6 and continues at Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Friday, February 7, Geelong’s Barwon Club Hotel on Saturday, February 8, Melbourne’s Max Watts on Sunday, February 9 and Wollongong’s Dicey Rileys on Wednesday, February 12.

The final three dates of the tour occur at Sydney’s Crowbar on Thursday, February 13, Newcastle’s Hamilton Station Hotel on Friday, February 14 and Brisbane’s The Brightside on Saturday, February 15.

Destroy All Lines per-sale starts this Thursday, October 24 at 11:30am local time. You can register here. General on-sale commences Friday, October 25 at 9:30am local time via Destroy All Lines.

Forming in 2019, thrown came together just as the pandemic hit. Comprising of vocalist Marcus Lundqvist, guitarists Johan Liljeblad and Andreas Malm and drummer/producer Buster Odeholm (best known for his work with Humanity's Last Breath and Vildhjarta), thrown spent quarantine writing and recording a stack of songs. Emerging in 2021 with a hat full of aggressive singles, they finally released their much-hyped debut EP Extended Pain in 2022.

Signed by Arising Empire, the buzz behind thrown saw them land tours across the globe before the release of their 2024 album, Excessive Guilt. Kerrang! awarded the album 4/5 and called thrown “one of heavy music’s most blisteringly brilliant bands.” Enough said.

Catch thrown at Lion Arts Factory on Friday, February 7. For full ticketing information visit the Destroy All Lines website.
