Moonlight Cinema Returns with Epic Summer Program

Australia’s favourite outdoor cinema returns this summer with another bumper program sure to delight movie fans. Once again taking place in Botanic Park from Thursday, November 28 to Sunday, February 16, Moonlight Cinema has unveiled a stellar lineup of new releases, Christmas favourites and cult classics that will be shown on the big screen throughout November and December, with the 2025 program revealed in the coming weeks.

This year’s lineup opens with a screening of Barbie on Thursday, November 28 and is followed by showings of blockbuster flicks including the box office smash Deadpool and Wolverine, action comedy The Fall Guy and disaster epic Twisters. Several new releases will also be shown on the large outdoor screen, such as Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II, The Rock’s Red One and the latest cinematic adaptation of Wicked.

Other highlights of the 2024 program include the Robbie Williams biopic Better Man, released on Boxing Day, and family screenings of Inside Out 2 and Paddington in Peru.

December also sees two weeks of festive flicks, with all your favourite Christmas movies getting a look in, including Elf, Love Actually, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Home Alone, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

When it comes to enjoying movies on the big screen under the stars, there are several premium options available for those looking to enhance their movie-going experience.
