Returning to Adelaide almost two decades after its Australian premiere at the Adelaide Festival in 2006, Flight runs for an exclusive three-show season from May 8-10 at Her Majesty’s Theatre.

Flight tells the interconnecting stories of ten people stuck in an airport terminal during a raging storm, revolving around The Refugee. Based on a true story, this heartwarming production is led by Australian director Stephen Barlow and features an ensemble cast of world-class performers, including James Laing, Anna Voshege, Ashlyn Tymms, Samuel Dale Johnson and Teddy Tahu Rhodes.

British Conductor Charlotte Corderoy leads the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, bringing Jonathan Dove’s original Scottish production of Flight to life for SA audiences.

“Flight captures the essence of humanity in its most vulnerable state, and we’re looking for a range of people who will support this outstanding cast to portray a myriad of life’s different characters for an unforgettable season,” says State Opera South Australia’s Artistic Director Dane Lam.

Flight runs from May 8-10 at Her Majesty’s Theatre. For full information on the open casting call or to score tickets to Flight, visit stateopera.com.au.
