Jess Locke first got noticed with the release of her 2016 debut LP Words That Seem To Slip Away. The album saw Locke highlighted as a triple j Unearthed Feature Artist and named FBi Radio's Indie Artist of the Week. Just a year later her acclaimed sophomore album Universe debuted at #18 on the AIR Independent Label Album Chart, was nominated for the Australian Music Prize and was ranked #20 in Rolling Stone’s 50 Best Albums of 2017.
Her most recent record, 2021’s Don’t Ask Yourself Why, debuted at #7 on the Australian Independent Record Albums Chart. Described as “12 tracks steeped in themes of human behaviour, ego and self-reflection,” the album was recorded by Locke’s friend and producer Rob Muinos (Julia Jacklin, Saskwatch) and mastered by John Davis (Lana Del Ray, The Killers, Gorillaz).
Locke’s much anticipated fourth album Real Life is set for release May 3. You can pre-order/pre-save the album here. For more information regarding Locke's in-store appearance at Clarity Records, follow their social accounts here.
