King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Announce New Orchestral Album ‘Phantom Island’
Phantom Island is the followup to last year’s Flight b741.

The world’s most prolific band, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, are gearing up for the release of their first album in 2025 – Phantom Island.
The band took to Instagram to announce their 27th LP, stating that the record has been “2 years in the making” and features the band performing with an orchestra.
“HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!!!! A lot of love and time and energy and patience and growth went into this one. Can’t wait to grow wings and fly with all of you,” wrote lead singer-guitarist Stu Mackenzie.

More details about the album are to be revealed on April 15 (5am LA / 1pm London / 10pm Melbourne), with King Gizzard dropping a music video for ‘Deadstick’, making pre-orders available via p(doom) Records and taking part in a Reddit AMA.
Phantom Island follows last year’s Flight B741 and 2023 records The Silver Cord and PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation.
King Gizzard are performing across Europe next month before touching down in North America for a run of orcehstral shows.
