Sydney metalcore act Polaris are hitting the road this June and July for an epic Australian regional tour. The huge run of dates takes in 22 venues across six states and comes two years after the band’s last regional tour.

Polaris won’t be going it alone, with the genre-bending Ocean Groove and Sydney metal outfit Bloom coming along for the ride.

The tour starts in Queensland with a show at The Jack in Cairns (Thursday, June 27) before dates at Uni Bar in Townsville (Friday, June 28), Magnums in Airlie Beach (Saturday, June 29), Harvey Road in Gladstone (Sunday, June 30), Venue 114 on the Sunshine Coast (Thursday, July 4), Powerhouse in Toowoomba (Friday, July 5) and Spop on the Gold Coast (Saturday, July 6).

The band then heads across the border for six more shows in New South Wales, playing C.Ex Coffs in Coffs Harbour (Sunday, July 7), Blazes Showroom in Tamworth (Wednesday, July 10), Panters in Penrith (Thursday, July 11), Waves in Wollongong (Friday, July 12), Drifters Wharf on the Central Coast (Saturday, July 13) and Beer Deluxe in Albury (Sunday, July 14).

Polaris then make the trek across the country to Western Australia where they play the Prince of Wales in Bunbury (Wednesday, July 17), Shelters Brewing in Busselton (Thursday, July 18) and Loop in Joondalup (Friday, July 19) before stopping off in South Australia for one show at the Bridgeway Hotel (Saturday, July 20).

The tour continues with a show at Civic Hall in Ballarat (Sunday, July 21) before a quick trip to Tassie for shows at Odeon Theatre in Hobart (Thursday, July 25) and Forth Pub in Forth (Friday, July 26). The final two gigs take place at Wool Exchange in Geelong (Saturday, July 27) and the Pier in Frankston (Sunday, July 28).

“We’re super excited to be heading back out to regional parts of Australia this June/July,” Polaris vocalist Jamie Hails said in a statement. “It’s been quite a few years since we’ve been to some of these places and we’re visiting some new towns also which is going to be really nice. I feel very lucky to be able to visit so many different areas of our beautiful country and I love being able to play our music to people that don't often get tours coming through their towns.”

Polaris established themselves as one of Australia’s premier metalcore acts in 2023 with the release of their third album, Fatalism. Not only did it connect with fans, but the album debuted at #1 on the AIRA Charts and was nominated for the 2023 Australian Music Prize. Combining the five-piece’s flair for melodic metalcore riffs, electronic flourishes and post-rock influences, the album received rave reviews from music publications, with Kerrang! claiming the record “cements their name as one of the best of their peers.”

Support act Ocean Groove is pioneering their own unique sound they label Oddworld music. The Melbourne trio takes influence from metal, hardcore, hip hop, grunge, Brit pop and more, with their most recent release, 2022’s Up In The Air Forever, critically acclaimed. Having recently played Alpha Wolf's curated CVLTFEST and wowed audiences supporting Don Broco across the UK last year, Ocean Groove can’t wait to unload on Aussie crowds alongside Polaris across the first 13 gigs.

Joining Polaris for the final nine shows, Sydney’s metalcore headbangers Bloom is keen for the chance to visit new regions and terrorize fans with tracks from their latest album, Maybe In Another Life.

Early Bird pre-sale tickets are available from Thursday, May 2 at 10:30am local time. Register here. General tickets go on sale Friday, May 3 at 9:30am local time via Destroy All Lines.
