After a nearly year-long hiatus, the legendary Sugar Nightclub is set to reopen its doors. Thanks to the efforts of the Gonzo Group, the team behind Crybaby, Memphis Slims, Shotgun Willies, and El Camino, Sugar is gearing up for a grand reopening that promises to give a boost to Adelaide’s electronic music scene.Driller Jet Armstrong will continue to be a key figure as a shareholder, ensuring a seamless transition.
For over two decades, Sugar stood as a beacon in Adelaide's electronic music scene, serving as a cherished home away from home for countless patrons. Sugar hosted 470 international artists and more than 400 locals since its inception in 2002 and everyone has a ‘sugar story’.
There are already some high calibre acts booked, and on Saturday, December 1, Sugar will welcome patrons back with a bang. The grand reopening will feature Joe Clausell (USA), setting the stage for a series of international DJ’s to follow. The lineup includes Kuniyuki (Japan) on December 8, Denney (UK) on December 16 and Osunlade (USA) on December 23.
