ALL THE WINNERS OF THE SA MUSIC AWARDS

The South Australian music community celebrated its finest talents at this year's awards, with DEM MOB leading the way, earning five awards, including the prestigious Emily Burrows Award. They also won Best Regional Artist, Best Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Artist, and Best Hip Hop in the People's Choice category. Additionally, they were honored with the Best Music Educator award for their 'Kurunpa Kunpuntjaku' program.

The Empty Threats took home two awards for Best New Artist and Best Song for "Evil Eye," while Slowmango won Best Release and Kaspar Schmidt Mumm & The Bait Fridge received Best Cover Art.

The Neville Clark Award recognized outstanding sound engineering students, and the Best International Collaboration went to Adam Page. Rachel Whitford was named South Australia's Best Manager. Nathan D’Agostino was awarded Best Live Technician.

Crown & Anchor was named Best Live Music Venue, and the Adelaide Guitar Festival - On the Road 2023 won Best Regional Live Music Venue or Live Music Activation.

Some Shine Festival was named the Best Small Music Festival or Event, and Vintage Vibes Festival won Best Major Music Festival or Event for its inaugural festival.

Other notable mentions include Girls Rock! winning the Community Achievement Award, Wundenbergs receiving the title of Best Studio, Conor Mercury Movies for Best Music Video, Alana Jagt as Best Solo Artist, and Bad//Dreems as Best Group.

The awards were highly competitive, with record voting numbers in the People's Choice categories.

With over 30 winners throughout the awards, we also saw Paul Kelly's induction into the South Australian Music Hall of Fame. The event featured performances by various artists, including a live rendition of "The Streets of Forbes" and a new song, "Going Down The River With Dad."
