SA Suzi Quatro fans rejoice! The American singer-songwriter and bassist has today announced she’s added an Adelaide date to her upcoming Rockin’ On Australian tour.

Hitting the road in celebration of her 60-year career, Quatro’s original tour runs from January to February 2025, with her Adeladie date coming near the end of the year in October.

“Looking back on my career, 60 years now in the ‘biz’, and now my 40th tour of Australia, I still can't believe it,” Quatro said in a statement about the tour. “Since my first time in 1974, with two tours that year, I totally fell head over heels for Australia, with the country and the people, everything about it.”

Quatro has long been a favourite with Australian audiences since she first toured down under during the 70s. An innovator of rock and roll, she has been at the forefront of rock music history for six decades, scoring her only #1 album in Australia in 1974 with her sophomore album, Quatro.

The accomplished songwriter continues to release music consistently, with her most recent record being last year’s duet album with Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall, Face to Face. Before that, Quatro dropped an EP of covers in 2022 and her 17th album, The Devil in Me, in 2021.

Quatro has also had her life story told on the big screen when the doco Suzi Q premiered in Australian cinemas in 2019. The documentary film was a critical and commercial success, further cementing Quatro’s legacy.

“Australia and me? We just love each other, it has been this ongoing affair, and we should never get married!” Quatro exclaims. “I will keep coming as long you will have me. It’s my second home.”
