Tommy Emmanuel Announces ‘An Evening With’ 2025 Australian Tour
The guitar virtuoso ends his tour in Adelaide at Her Majesty’s Theatre in May.

The great Tommy Emmanuel has announced a run of Australian shows in 2025, taking in seven major cities across nine dates in May.
An Evening with Tommy Emmanuel will see the Grammy and ARIA Award winner performing at some of the country’s most prestigious venues, including the Sydney Opera House and Adelaide’s own Her Majesty’s Theatre.
Emmanuel said about his return to Australia: “Playing and touring back home is like a family reunion! Australia is where I was raised; the rest of the world was what I had my sights on. Now, I love coming home and seeing my country through the eyes of a grateful man.”
He continued, “I've always been a citizen of the world, a curious observer and a time traveller... it's a joy to have the chance to come home to play my music and see if I can make you smile a little!”
Emmanuel’s tour begins at the Sydney Opera House on Friday, May 16 before heading to Newcastle’s Civic Theatre on Saturday, May 17, Brisbane’s Queensland Performing Arts Centre on Sunday, May 18 and Canberra’s Theatre Centre on Tuesday, May 20. The legendary guitarist returns to the Opera House for another gig on Wednesday, May 21 before two concerts at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on Sunday, May 25 and Monday, May 26. Then it’s off to Perth for a gig at Riverside Theatre before the tour comes to an end on Emmanuel’s 70th birthday at Her Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday, May 31.

Along with revealing Australian tour dates, Tommy Emmanuel CGP – which references the title of Certified Guitar Player gifted to him by Chet Atkins – has announced a new album.
Live At The Sydney Opera House was, unsurprisingly, recorded live at the Sydney Opera House over two sold out nights in 2023. The album features classic compositions like ‘Tall Fiddler’, ‘Mombasa’ and ‘Country Wide’ alongside recent fan favourites ‘Fuel’ and ‘Sail On’, and arrives on March 21, 2025.
