Tash Sultana Returns With New Single ‘Milk & Honey’
The blues and roots-inspired track is the first taste of new music from the multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter since 2023.
Tash Sultana is back with their first taste of new music for 2025.
‘Milk & Honey’ is the multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, engineer and producer’s latest release that harks back to their busking days. The song has a driving reggae groove, loop drums and soulful vocals and is a deeply personal track, addressing Sultana’s fame and the pressures that come with success.
“I hadn't written a track that was looping based for a very long time,” Sultana says of the song. “I steered away from it because I felt as though I'd been pigeon holed as only a ‘looper’ and not so much of a musician/composer/producer.”
Sultana adds, “I've seen a lot in my career as an artist and approaching a more mature side of it 10 years in. I've seen many fast lanes, been in many fast lanes, crashed the vehicle, rebuilt from the wreck, rehabbed my brain and it always lands me in the same place- back to the start.”
The single’s release has got the internet speculating about a new Sultana album, but the artist behind mega hits ‘Jungle’ and ‘Notion’ has yet to announce anything.
The single is accompanied by a music video featuring Sultana performing ‘Milk & Honey’ live at Lonely Lands Studio.

Sultana is returning to the US to perform at Red Rock Amphitheatre in June. The description for their gig says audiences can expect “an electrifying mix of new tracks, iconic hits, and mesmerising visuals that celebrate Tash’s evolution as one of Australia’s most influential and celebrated artists.”
Hopefully the release of ‘Milk & Honey’ and Sultana’s upcoming American performance means an Australian tour is not far off being announced. Until then, enjoy the reggae and roots fusion of ‘Milk & Honey’.
