THE MAINE ANNOUNCE AUSTRALIAN ‘SWEET SIXTEEN TOUR’

The Maine return to Australia for the first time in two years this September with their ‘Sweet Sixteen Tour’.

Two years on since their last visit, Tempe, Arizona rockers The Maine return to Australian shores as part of their ‘Sweet Sixteen Tour’. Celebrating 16 years as a band, Maine has announced five shows across the country this September, playing all their biggest tracks and fan favourites.

The collective of John O'Callaghan (lead vocals, piano, rhythm guitar), Jared Monaco (lead guitar), Garrett Nickelsen (bass, synth), Patrick Kirch (drums, percussion) and Kennedy Brock (rhythm guitar, backing vocals, lead guitar) will perform in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

The first gig kicks off on Sunday, September 15 at Magnet House in Perth and is followed by shows at The Gov in Adelaide (Tuesday, September 17), The Tivoli in Brisbane (Thursday, September 19), Liberty Hall in Sydney (Friday, September 20) and The Forum in Melbourne (Sunday, September 22). The Perth and Melbourne shows are 18+ while the rest of the tour is all ages.

Since forming in 2007, The Maine has continued to grow and evolve as a band, incorporating a wide range of genres into their sound. Across 16 years they have released nine albums, with their most recent, 2023s self-titled album, a nostalgic rock record made for the live arena.

"We're so excited to bring the Sweet Sixteen tour to Australia,” guitarist Jared Monaco said in a statement.

“It's been two years since we've been back, and we're looking forward to having a longer set packed with so many songs both new and old. Since we saw you last, we've released our self-titled album and been busy touring and celebrating 16 years as The Maine. We knew we couldn't leave our Australian fans out of all the fun, so get your tickets and we'll see you when we're looking at you!"
