The surprise release features all of The Wiggles’ biggest tunes turned into dance floor bangers thanks to DJ Lenny Pearce.

The Wiggles dropped a surprise album last Friday but it’s not exactly what fans would expect from the children’s entertainers.
The Wiggles Sound System: Rave of Innocence is a 14-track EDM album featuring remixes of all the group’s biggest hits.
Songs like ‘Hot Potato’, ‘Fruit Salad’ and personal favourite ‘Toot Toot, Chugga Chugga, Big Red Car’ have been transformed into hectic rave numbers sure to be heard in clubs across the nation in the coming weeks.
Many eagle-eyed fans thought something was up after footage of DJ Dorothy (the DJ alias of Dorothy the Dinosaur) performing a set at Billboard nightclub in Melbourne found its way onto the internet. The short performance included Dorothy performing tracks from the new album.
According to The Music, the album leaked after the show last week when a punter in attendance found a “mysterious USB, which just so happened to contain a full-length album by The Wiggles Sound System.”
It was quickly uploaded to Soundcloud and shared on Reddit before disappearing just a few hours later. The album was officially launched last Friday via streaming platforms.
The mastermind behind the project is DJ Lenny Pearce, who also happens to be the brother of Purple Wiggle John Pearce (aka Big Strong John).
“This project was super fun to work on,” Pearce said in a short chat with ABC News last Friday.
"I am 33 now, and I vividly remember lying on the floor with headphones on listening to Greg [Page, original Yellow Wiggle] thinking 'wow, this is so soothing'. And then, 30 years down the line, I am mixing his vocals in my studio."
A press release for the EDM remix album describes it as “an electrifying fusion of nostalgia and party-starting techno beats” and “a pulsating musical journey that’s part wild dancefloor party, part toddler tantrum tamer.”
Having given the album a whirl, it’s fair to say The Wiggles make bangers, not anthems. But don’t take our word for it. Give the album a listening below and be prepared to hear ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Litte Star’ like never before!
