Reggae royalty returns to Australia this November when the Original Wailers make their way back to our shores for a seven-date Australian tour.

The group, formed by Wailers guitarists Al Anderson and Junior Marvin in 2008, will be performing all the hits from the US Reggae Albums top charting record Bob Marley & the Wailers Greatest Hits.

The collective will play two shows in Perth before heading to Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

The first date of the tour is set for Friday, November 15 at Freo Social in Perth. The Original Wailers then head to the Rosemount Hotel in Perth on Sunday, November 17, the Gov in Adelaide on Wednesday, November 20, The Triffid in Brisbane on Thursday, November 21, Northcote Theatre in Melbourne on Friday, November 22 and The Metro Theatre in Sydney on Saturday, November 23.

The Wailers were founded in 1963 by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer, with a revolving door of musicians playing with the band until it disbanded after Marley’s death in 1981.

Since then there have been several offshoots of The Wailers, with the most successful being The Original Wailers formed by Anderson and Junior. Although Junior is no longer part of the band, the current iteration still features Anderson (guitar) along with musicians Chet Samuel (lead vocals and guitar), Omar Lopez (bass), Paapa Nyarkoh (drums), and Adrian AK Cisneros (keyboards and organ).

Expect to hear all the classic Bob Marley & The Wailers tracks during the tour, including ‘Is This Love’, ‘Could You Be Loved’, ‘One Love’, ‘No Woman No Cry’, ‘Get Up, Stand Up’, ‘Buffalo Soldier’, ‘I Shot The Sheriff’, ‘Jamming’, ‘Redemption Song’ and more.

Pre-sale begins on Wednesday, April 24 at 8:30am local time. You can register here. General sale tickets available on Friday, April 26 at 8:30am.
