The early 00s rap stalwarts hit Hindley Street Music Hall this June.
Adelaide hip-hop fans get excited, the much anticipated 3:Twenty Tour is heading our way this June.
Headlined by Xzibit, D12 and Obie Trice, the tour was first announced to much fanfare in February. The rap stars were set to play shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, with little old Adelaide left out again. However, an Adelaide date has been announced due to high demand, with the rappers hitting Hindley Street Music Hall on Thursday, June 20.
The tour comes in support of Xzibit’s Man vs. Machine, D12’s D12 World and Obie Trice’s Cheers, with all three albums celebrating their 20th anniversaries this year. Each performer involved has a storied history in the rap game and their popularity with Australian fans is a major factor in their longevity as artists.
Xzibit came out of the LA rap scene and was mentored by Dr. Dre who executive produced his top charting fourth record Man vs. Machine. Known for his hit singles ‘Multiply’, ‘X’, ‘Paparazzi’ and ‘Symphony in X Major’, Xzibit also found success as the host of MTV’s Pimp My Ride.
Rising from the shadow of former member Eminem, the members of D12 established themselves as high-calibre rappers in their own right. Their 2004 album D12 World is multi-platinum and features the hit singles ‘Git Up’, ‘My Band’, and ‘How Come.’
One of the first signings to Eminem’s Shady Records, Obie Trice’s debut album Cheers was a worldwide success. Certified multi-platinum and featuring guest spots from Em, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Nate Dogg, D12 and more, the album remains Trice’s greatest release.
As well as general sale tickets, there will be limited Meet & Greet packages with all 3 artists available.
