Having originally left Adelaide off the list of cities making up Boy & Bear’s Harlequin Dream 10th anniversary tour, the lads have finally come to their senses and added the City of Churches to their itinerary.

The folksy quintet has locked in Thursday, August 15 at Hindley St Music Hall where they will play their first #1 album, Harlequin Dream, in full for their adoring fans. The show comes after the band sold out the majority of their early shows, having already performed three gigs in New Zealand and seven across Australia.

Joining Boy & Bear is special guest Sarah Blasko, who will be performing solo, along with a local Adelaide act yet to be announced,

Tickets for the gig go on sale Tuesday, July 11 at 8:30am via Moshtix.

Released a decade ago, Harlequin Dream is Boy & Bear’s sophomore album and first ARIA Album charting #1 release. The record is arguably still the band’s best effort, spawning singles ‘Southern Sun’, ‘Three Headed Woman’ and ‘Harlequin Dream’ and going on to achieve platinum status.

Harlequin Dream followed on from Boy & Bear’s double-platinum debut album, Moonfire, which won five ARIA Awards, including Album of the Year and Breakthrough Album – Artist.

The last decade has seen the quintet share five studio albums, their most recent being 2023’s self-titled release, along with the live album At Golden Retriever Studio.

The current lineup of David Hosking (vocals/guitar), Killian Gavin (vocals/guitar), Tim Hart (drums/vocals), Jonathan Hart (vocals/banjo/mandolin/keyboards) and David Symes (bass) have become festival regulars over the years and built a solid fanbase that’s sure to turn out in big numbers when Boy & Bear plays Adelaide next month.

Tickets for Boy & Bear’s 10th anniversary Harlequin Dream tour at Hindley St Music Hall go on sale Tuesday, July 11 at 8:30am via Moshtix.
