‘Can’t See the Sky’ is the debut single from emerging Aussie folk troubadour Lewis Love.
Born and raised in Ballarat, the 19-year-old is part of the new generation of artists using social media to reach an audience, with a teaser clip of ‘Can’t See the Sky’ garnering over 1.1 million views on TikTok.
The country-esque acoustic guitar lick lays the base for Lewis’ soulful vocals, with ‘Can’t See the Sky’ reminiscent of modern day country hero Zach Bryan with a splash of old school Everlast.
A tale of heartbreak inspired by Lewis’ ex, the singer-songwriter says, “I wrote this song about my ex-girlfriend. I tried to keep it as raw as possible. Every word in this song is true. To me, the song is me pouring my heart out but keeping it fun at the same time. It means a lot to me because it’s my first single, and it’s the start of everything I’ve ever dreamt of. I’m so excited for it.”
