American trio Fleshwater are hitting our shores this November. This marks the band’s first visit to Australia and comes after they were forced to withdraw from performing at March’s New Bloom Festival earlier this year.

The current lineup of vocalist and guitarist Anthony DiDio, bassist Jeremy Martin and lead vocalist Marisa Shirar will be joined by touring drummer Josian Omar Soto Ramos for seven shows in November.

Fleshwater’s debut tour begins at Brisbane’s Valley Loft on Wednesday, November 13 and continues in Newcastle at the Newcastle Hotel on Thursday, November 14, Crowbar in Sydney on Friday, November 15 and La La La’s in Wollongong on Sunday, November 17.

The remaining dates of the tour take place at Melbourne’s Stay Gold on Tuesday, November 19, Adelaide’s Jive on Thursday, November 21 and Perth’s Lynotts Lounge on Friday, November 22.

Tickets for all seven gigs are on sale now via Destroy All Lines.

Formed in 2017 by members of metalcore act Vein.fm, Fleshwater gained a cult following with the release of their 2020 debut EP, demo2020. The EP contains the band’s surprise hit ‘Linda Claire’, which has generated over 5.5 million streams on Spotify alone.

Fleshwater’s first long player We’re Not Here To Be Loved followed in 2022 and received positive reviews from critics, with Pitchfork awarding the album a respectable 7.5/10.

Having toured with No Pressure, Koyo and Harms Way and performed at major US festivals including Lollapalooza, Sick New World Fest and Riot Fest, prepare for a night of 90s-inspired alt-rock when Fleshwater hits your town this November.

Catch Fleshwater at Jive on Thursday, November 21. Tickets on sale now via Destroy All Lines.
