The National Announce New Live Album 'Rome'
The album contains 21 tracks recorded during the band’s concert in Rome earlier this year.

Everyone’s favourite dad rock act The National have announced a new live album entitled, Rome. As the title suggests, the 21-track release was recorded in Rome at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone on June 3 2024 during the band’s European tour.
Ahead of the album’s December 13 release via 4AD (pre-order here), The National have shared a four-track EP (listen here) featuring live versions of ‘I Need My Girl’, ‘Lemonworld’, ‘The Geese of Beverly Road’, and ‘Lit Up’.
Mixed by Peter Katis (Interpol, Gang of Youths, Middle Kids), the album will be available on black and white vinyl, as a 2CD set and via all good streaming platforms. Members of The National’s Cherry Tree Fan Club have access to an exclusive 26-track version of the album that comes on green, white, and red triple vinyl.

Rome is The National’s third live album released on vinyl following 2015s A Lot of Sorrow and 2018s Boxer (Live in Brussels).
The band are currently halfway through their North America, Canadian and Mexico tour alongside The War on Drugs and Lucius.
