Mario Maiolo Promotions and Cruise 1323 presents Good Morning Vietnam – Music from the Vietnam War Era this June.

This spectacular two-hour musical experience features all the music that soundtracked the Vietnam War throughout the 60s and 70s. Much of that period's music deeply impacted society and helped shape the youth of yesteryear. Tracks like ‘Fortunate Son’, ‘Purple Haze’, ‘We Gotta Get Outta This Place’ and more became anthems for a disaffected generation who saw the conflict as futile.

Good Morning Vietnam – Music from the Vietnam War Era pays tribute to all those who fought in the war and commemorates the artists and songs that defined a generation. Expect to hear music from all the greats, including The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Tina Turner, The Doors, Janis Joplin and more.

Taking to the stage and performing these classic tunes are Musical Director and guitarist Simon Gardner, vocalists Shaleena Bain and Chris Herden, multi-instrumentalist Tommy Hynes and bassist Terry Million.

“The rock music created during the Vietnam War period was groundbreaking in that it reflected immense unrest as well as the greatest powers of all – peace and love,” Gardner said in a statement.

“I absolutely love playing these songs and view this show as an opportunity to honour and pay tribute to those involved.”

The show also supports the fantastic Guitars for Vets Australia, with $1 from every ticket sold donated to the awesome charity that aims to provide guitar lessons for Australian Vets.

Good Morning Vietnam – Music From the Vietnam War Era hits Her Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday, June 29. Tickets are available now via Adelaide Festival Centre.
