GUTTERMOUTH ASKING FANS TO CREATE SETLIST FOR MARCH TOUR

The West Coast ratbags are also playing their sixth album Covered with Ants in full.

Californian punk rockers Guttermouth have been touring Australia for nearly 30 years, and after another eventful 2023 showing, the five-piece is back in the country one final time this month for what’s sure to be an absolute belter of a gig at UniBar Adelaide. 

The tour, kicking off at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney this Wednesday, takes in 16 venues across Australia and New Zealand. Not only is Guttermouth playing their acclaimed sixth album Covered with Ants in full, but the band is asking fans to create the rest of the setlist. When you purchase a ticket, you can select five songs from this list, and the songs with the most votes will be performed at each live show. 

In great news for local music lovers, Adelaide pop-punk five-piece LOLA and veteran punkers Numbskulls, along with Sydney trio Ebolagoldfish, will be providing support for Guttermouth’s UniBar gig. 

Guttermouth has been out there getting it done since 1989, rising to fame as part of America’s West Coast punk scene in the 90s. Known for their outrageous lyrics and stage antics, Guttermouth has encountered their fair share of controversy over the years, even being banned from entering Canada for 18 months.

The line-up has also continued to change over the years, with the only constant being founder and vocalist Mark Adkins, who has an affinity with Australia. Adkins and his band have always been welcomed Down Under, with audiences understanding the band’s tongue-in-cheek humour that often gets them in trouble. 

In a show of good faith, Guttermouth has put a cap on ticket prices, with all shows under $50, which is a fantastic initiative when you consider the current cost of living crisis. 

Guttermouth hit UniBar Adelaide on Thursday, March 14. Tickets are selling fast via Moshtix.
