Prepare for the Funk-Metal Extravaganza: Infectious Grooves, featuring members of Metallica, Slipknot and Suicidal Tendencies, are playing Adelaide.

Get ready to experience a collision of funk and metal as the iconic supergroup Infectious Grooves return to Australia after a hiatus of five years. In an Easter tour, the legendary ensemble is gearing up to deliver a mind-blowing performance that promises to be a seismic fusion of infectious rhythms and metal mayhem.
Boasting a stellar lineup of extraordinary musicians, Infectious Grooves is set to grace Australian stages for the first time since their appearance at Soundwave Festival in 2008 – a whopping 16 years ago. The 2024 incarnation of the band is more potent than ever, featuring original members Mike Muir, the frontman of Suicidal Tendencies, and guitarist Dean Pleasants, both fresh from a sold-out tour celebrating the 40th Anniversary of ST's debut album last November.
Joining them is the founding bassist of Infectious Grooves, Robert Trujillo, making a long-awaited comeback to Australia after over a decade. Trujillo, known for his role in Metallica, last visited the country with the world-renowned metal band. Adding an extra layer of groove on guitar is Dave Kushner, a member of the platinum-selling supergroup Velvet Revolver and a familiar face from the OG Infectious Grooves team.
Anchoring the entire ensemble is drummer Jay Weinberg, making his first live appearance after a decade with the iconic metal band Slipknot. This powerhouse lineup ensures that Infectious Grooves is ready to deliver an unforgettable night of funk-metal madness.
Formed in 1989 by Mike Muir and Robert Trujillo of the renowned Californian heavy hitters Suicidal Tendencies, along with long-serving ST guitarist Dean Pleasants and Janes Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins, Infectious Grooves injected a potent mix of funk and groove into their sound, captivating audiences with their cross-genre appeal. With a cheeky touch of goofy humor, they released four albums between 1991 and 2000, forever cementing their iconic status among fans worldwide.
With a musical pedigree like that, attendees are guaranteed a night of incredible funk-metal mayhem when Infectious Grooves takes the stage. Get ready to punk it up and funk it up – be there for an electrifying experience!
