Live music lovers, it’s time to mark your calendar for Saturday, February 17. The City of Port Adelaide Enfield is throwing a one-night, free live music event showcasing more than 25 of South Australia’s best emerging artists across the area’s venues for new roving festival, New Found Sound.
New Found Sound is like a music discovery walking trail. From 6pm to 11pm, meander between nine different Port Adelaide venues (think Pirate Life Brewery, Milledge’s Distillation and Iparrityi Laneway) and see local acts like Placement, Coldwave and Timberwolf playing intimate sets. The Port Adelaide Lighthouse will even come alive with a designed soundscape by emerging electronic artist, Loud Clouds.
Other acts playing across the City of Port Adelaide Enfield include Alana Jagt, Naomi Keyte, Nancy Bates, Ryan Martin John, Tilly Tjala Thomas, Wake in Fright, Sons of Zöku, Street Legal and Los Palms. Check out the full lineup below!
“New Found Sound offers a vibrant opportunity to discover and support Adelaide’s freshest talent in the re-energised Port Adelaide precinct,” says City of Port Adelaide Enfield Lord Mayor Claire Boan. “It will be an exciting night showcasing our City’s thriving creative community.”
While the live music action doesn’t kick off until 6pm, punters are encouraged to head to the Port and explore the precinct earlier. There’s so much to see and do in the river region, from the towering, art-covered Wonderwalls to the gluten-free gastro pubs. Get in early, soak up the seaside vibes and get ready for a night of epic tunes.
This free gig, brought to you by the City of Port Adelaide Enfield with the Live Music Office and APRA AMCOS, is part of the Live & Local program. It’s all about boosting live music in Port Adelaide and supporting local talent, businesses and organisations.
