Jess Day Reveals ‘A Garden Of Small Disappointments’ Tour Dates

The tour announcement comes as Day prepares for the release of her debut album next month.

The Adelaide music scene is thriving and if you need further proof, give Jess Day a spin. The emerging singer-songwriter is fast making a name for herself as one to watch, and that’s only going to escalate with the release of her debut album, A Garden of Small Disappointments.

Produced and recorded by Day, the album arrives October 11 (you can pre-save your copy here) and contains the previously released singles ‘Lilith’, ‘Softness’ and ‘Captain Midnight’.

To coincide with the release of A Garden of Small Disspaointments, Day is embarking on an Australian tour, revealing the news via social media.

“Good day beautiful beings!! ….I cordially invite you to my Garden Of Small Disappointments,” Day says. “I’m going to rock out so hard. I have a new guitar, new songs, new levels of spiritual torture - all the things you need to make an excellent rock show. It’s been a while, I know. And I’M READY BABY.”

The four-date tour begins in Sydney at The Lansdowne on Friday, November 8 and continues the following day at Black Bear Lodge in Brisbane on Saturday, November 9. Day then performs at Northcote Social Club in Melbourne on Friday, November 15 before celebrating with her hometown crowd in Adelaide at Lion Arts Factory on Friday, November 22.

After being spotlighted as a Feature Artist on triple j and gaining rotation on both the main station and triple j Unearthed, Day’s debut album is shaping as one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

A Garden of Small Disappointments represents a new period in Day’s musical evolution and features pop, rock, indie and punk influences laying the musical backbone for the singer-songwriter’s raw and honest lyrics.
