Pearl Jam Announce Local Support Acts for Australian & New Zealand Tour

 

Liam Finn, Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers and Cosmic Psychos will join Peral Jam and Pixies on their Australian tour.

As Pearl Jam’s much anticipated Australian return gets closer, the Seattle grunge pioneers have revealed the local support acts for their 2024 run of Dark Matter shows.

Joining Pearl Jam and international support Pixies are singer-songwriter Liam Finn, emerging rockers Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers and legendary Aussie punks Cosmic Psychos.

Finn, who’s now a fully-fledged member of Crowded House and appears on their 2024 release Gravity Stairs, is opening for Pearl Jam at their two shows in Auckland on Friday, November 8 and Sunday, November 10.

Teen Jesus And The Jean Teasers, who are embarking on their own tour in November, take on opening duties for the gigs on the Gold Coast on Wednesday, November 13, Melbourne on Monday, November 18 and Sydney on Saturday, November 23.

Old mates Cosmic Psychos are up first at the stadium shows in Melbourne on Saturday, November 16 and Sydney on Thursday, November 21.

Tenn Jesus And The Jean Teasers took to social media to announce the exciting news, commenting: “get fucked it doesn’t get eddie vedder than this. see yall in gold coast, melbourne and sydney 😭😭 #stadiumrockband”.

Pearl Jam is heading our way for the first time in a decade, with their last appearance coming in 2014 when they headlined Big Day Out.

The band is touring in support of their 12th studio album, Dark Matter, which Mojo said “hits like a triple espresso” in their glowing review of the record.
