Kublai Khan TX Announce 2024 Australian TOur
The Texas metalcore purveyors are playing nine shows across the country this August.
Texan metalcore ragers Kublai Khan TX are heading our way this August 2024 for their first ever Australian headline tour.
The quartet of Matt Honeycutt (vocals), Nolan Ashley (guitar/vocals), Eric English (bass/vocals) and Issac Lamb (drums) return to our shores less than a year after a successful support slot for Polaris.
Kublai Khan TX will play shows in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart, Wollongong, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane and Maroochydore.
The shows in Adelaide and Brisbane will be licensed all ages, while the rest are 18+.
The band won’t be coming alone, with LA hardcore legends Terror and Manchester metal shredders Guilt Trip making the trip down under. Rising Aussie act Splinter will also be joining Kublai Khan TX on their headline tour across the country.
Kublai Khan TX has been ripping up stages across America since 2008. It wasn’t until the release of the band’s 2017 single, ‘The Hammer’, that the heavy metal quartet went global. Their most recent release, savage single ‘Low Tech’, follows on from their 2022 EP Lowest Form Of Animal, which was described by Wall of Sound as “raw, real and huge.”
For over 20 years five-piece Terror has been delighting hardcore enthusiasts with their genre-defining releases. With eight studio and five live albums under their belt, Terror’s music is a fearsome assault on the senses with a huge worldwide fanbase.
This tour marks Guilt Trip’s first trip to Australia, with the UK hardcore act still riding high since the release of their 2023 sophomore album, Severance. Influenced by 80s thrash and 90s metal, the Manchester band is excited to unleash their brutal sound on local audiences.
Rounding out the tour is Newcastle newcomers Splinter. The band dropped their latest EP The Hill I’ll Die On earlier this month and have already shared the stage with established acts like Speed, The Acacia Strain and End. Much like the debuting Guilt Trip, Splinter can’t wait to show the rest of Australia what they’re about.
Pre-sale begins at 10:30am on Thursday, April 25. Register here. General sale kicks off at 10:30am on Friday, April 26 via Destroy All Lines.
