Melbourne Ska Orchestra Announce ‘Outlaws and Offbeats Tour’
The tour comes just a year after the collective celebrated its 20th anniversary with a massive world tour.
Get ready to dance the night away when Melbourne Ska Orchestra head back on the road later this year with the ‘Outlaws and Offbeats Tour’.
Taking place from August through to October, the 13-date tour includes stops in Cairns, Brisbane, Newcastle, Castlemaine, Melbourne and Adelaide.
The tour comes just over a year since the 26-piece ensemble celebrated its 20th anniversary with a massive world tour which included shows in Mexico and Indonesia, along with a run of energetic Aussie dates that had dance floors shaking across the country.
Talking about the tour band leader Nicky Bomba says: “This mighty big band really is a spectacle to behold and the energy that I feel on stage inspires me to connect with our audiences on the highest level possible. Outlaws and Offbeats indeed!”

Formed in 2003 by former John Butler Trio member Nicky Bomba and radio presenter Mohair Slim, Melbourne Ska Orchestra has been entertaining audiences with their brand of big band ska since selling out their first gig at The Esplanade Hotel over 20 years ago.
Currently consisting of 21 members (at one time there were 34 people involved), Melbourne Ska Orchestra has released seven albums over the journey, winning two ARIA Awards for Best World Music Album in 2016 (Sierra Kilo Alpha) and 2019 (One Year of Ska).
The band prides itself on their live performances and is known for causing audiences to get down and dirty on the d-floor. Having wowed crowds across the globe from London to Tokyo to their home here in Australia, Melbourne Ska Orchestra is a sight to behold live and one band you don’t want to miss!
