Missy Higgins Announces A Day on the Green Tour

The acclaimed singer-songwriter is performing at Peter Lehmann Wines.

Missy Higgins’ career resurgence doesn’t seem like ending anytime soon, with the talented singer-songwriter announcing three special A Day on the Green performances taking place across November and December.

After spending most of the year touring in celebration of the 20th anniversary of her debut album, The Sound Of White, along with shows supporting her forthcoming sixth record, The Second Act, Higgins has locked in encore performances in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.

The concerts will see Higgins perform songs from across her career stripped back, in acoustic mode.

Her first A Day on the Green concert kicks off on Saturday, November 23 at Sirromet Wines in Mount Cotton. This is followed by shows in Bowral at Centennial Vineyards on Saturday, November 30 and the Barossa Valley at Peter Lehmann Wines on Saturday, December 7.

Joining Higgins on tour are roots and blues crooner Dan Sultan (Sirromet Wines only), singer-songwriter Miller Kate-Heidke (Centennial Vineyards and Peter Lehmann Wines) and rising star Ruby Fields (all three dates).

General sale begins on Tuesday, September 3 at 10:30am local time via Ticketmaster, but there are several pre-sale options available. “I never imagined it would take me most of 2024 to do this Australian tour, but it’s been such a great experience on every level that I’m glad the band and I will get to share it a few more times with all these big crowds,” Higgins said in a statement about the tour.

“There have been lots of fans posting about how disappointed they were to miss out on getting a chance to see this two-act show, so now they’ll have no excuse!”

The announcement of Higgins’ encore performances comes just a week after it was announced she would be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame at this year’s ceremony.
