MOTHER MOTHER ANNOUNCE LARGEST AUSTRALIAN HEADLINE TOUR
Hindley Street Music Hall play host to the Canadian alt-rockers this November.

Canadian alt-rockers Mother Mother is embarking on their largest Australian tour this November. The ‘Get Up’ and ‘I Got Love’ composers are playing five dates across Australia, including a stop in Adelaide at Hindley Street Music Hall. The tour comes in support of their ninth album, Grief Chapter, released in February to rave reviews. SA fans get the first crack at seeing Mother Mother live when the band hits Hindley Street Music Hall on Saturday 16 November. The tour then heads to Brisbane, with the band playing The Fortitude Music Hall on Tuesday 19 November, Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Thursday 21 November, Sydney’s Horden Pavillion on Saturday 23 November, and finally Perth’s Metro City on Monday 25 November. Comprised of Ryan Guldemond (vocals, guitar), Molly Guldemond (vocals, keys), Jasmin Parkin (vocals, keys), Ali Siadat (drums) and Mike Young (bass), Mother Mother has been kicking around for close to two decades. Formed in 2005 as Mother, they released their self-titled debut album that same year, quickly gaining a loyal following in their hometown of Quadra Island, British Columbia.In 2007 they changed their name to Mother Mother due to legal issues and reissued their self-titled debut as Touch Up through Canadian label Last Gang. Since then they’ve released seven top ten singles on the Canadian Alt Charts – including #1 hits ‘The Drugs’ and ‘Get Up’ – and eight more albums, including this year’s Grief Chapter, which explores themes of life, death and mourning. “Our instinct was to make things hit hard and feel powerful,” says lead singer and Mother Mother lyricist Ryan Guldemond. “We don’t take this moment for granted – or this life.
