HEALTH ANNOUNCE RAT-BASED WARFARE TOUR: DOWN UNDER
The tour is in support of the band’s 2023 album Rat Wars.

Los Angeles experimental act HEALTH will return to Australia this July and August for a run of shows. The ‘Rat-Based Warfare Tour: Down Under’ will see the enigmatic noise rock-cum-industrial metal trio hit our shores less than a year after playing Dark MOFO 2023. The five-date tour is in support of HEALTH’s seventh album, Rat Wars, which was released in December of last year. The tour begins in Perth at Amplifier Bar on Wednesday 31 July, before heading to Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Thursday 1 August, Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Friday 2 August, Sydney’s Manning Bar on Saturday 3 August, and finally Brisbane’s Brightside Outdoors on Sunday 4 August. It won’t just be HEALTH taking the stage, with two awesome Australian acts supporting the American industrial band. HEALTH will be joined by genre-pushing Brisbane-based trap/metal/industrial/emo artist Zheani and Melbourne duo Joshua Wells & Karina Utomo, whose collaborative efforts pair live drum machine manipulations with brain shaking vocals that will leave you reeling. Comprising vocalist and guitarist Jake Duzsik, bassist and producer John Famiglietti and drummer BJ Miller, HEALTH has been entertaining fans with their industrial noise rock for close to two decades. Finding fame with their remix of Crystal Castles’ ‘Crimewave’ in 2007, the band has gone from strength to strength since then.Across seven albums HEALTH’s sound has evolved from heavy art rock to electronic industrial metal, with Duzsik’s unsettling vocals bringing it all together. Along with their studio albums, the band has released five remix albums and contributed to several high-profile video game soundtracks, including Max Payne 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and Grand Theft Auto V.After the release of Rat Wars in December, HEALTH went on tour through Europe supporting Sleep Token, including a sold-out show at Wembley Stadium. The band then embarked on their most successful North American headline tour, and are now gearing up to bring the ‘Rat-Based Warfare Tour’ to Australia.
