It's that time of the year again – pack your bags, rally your mates, and mark your calendars for the return of GTM as it makes its way to six regions across Australia in April and May 2024, including a new venue in NSW.
The GTM tour kicks off in Wayville, SA, on Thursday, April 25, featuring a special acknowledgement for the ANZACs. The party then moves to the capital city, Canberra, ACT, on Friday, April 26, followed by a stop in the picturesque Bendigo, VIC, on Saturday, April 27, to round out the first weekend.
For the second weekend, GTM heads to a brand-new location by the water – Foreshore Park in Newcastle, NSW, on Saturday, May 4. The Sunshine Coast, QLD, gets its turn on Sunday, May 5, offering a long weekend bonus. To accommodate the growing demand, the festival shifts to the Sunshine Coast Stadium Precinct, a more spacious and central venue compared to last year's sold-out show. The tour concludes on the west coast with a blast of fun in Bunbury, WA, on Saturday, May 11.
After calling Maitland Showground its home in NSW for many years, GTM has decided to move to a more accessible location based on patron feedback and consultation regarding transport and accommodation needs. The new Foreshore Park venue in Newcastle is not only easily accessible but also offers ample parking and accommodation options.
"We're really excited to be putting on a festival in Foreshore Park. While Maitland has played a major part in the history of GTM, Newcastle’s transport and accommodation options will provide a better experience for our patrons. Foreshore Park is a stunning location, and we look forward to calling it home." - said GTM about the move.
