The five new acts will join the bill in their home state.
The final acts to make up Laneway Festival 2025 have been announced, with triple j revealing the Unearthed winners set to take the stage in each state.
The five up-and-coming acts showcase Australia’s diverse music scene and join a lineup featuring Charli XCX, DJ Barry Can't Swim, Remi Wolf, Olivia Dean and more.
Rising rapper Miles Nautu, who cites Joey Bada$$ and Kendrick Lamar as influences, is up first, opening the Brisbane leg of Laneway on Saturday, February 8 at Brisbane Showgrounds. The next day, Sunday, February 9, energetic rap star DEVAURA will grace the Laneway stage at Sydney’s Showgrounds.
Indie quintet The Vovos got the nod for Melbourne, with the riot grrrl-influenced act performing at Flemington Park on Friday, February 14. The Note favourites Twine, who just released their stellar album New Old Horse, open Adelaide’s Laneway Festival at Bonython Park on Saturday, February 15, with much-hyped indie act smol fish chosen to perform in Perth at Wellington Square on Sunday, February 16.
Laneway Festival 2025 is getting close to a sellout, with all tickets snapped up for the Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane legs of the festival. Limited tickets remain for the Adelaide and Perth editions of the fest which you can score here.
Since its inception in 2005, St Jerome’s Laneway Festival has established itself as Australia’s premiere indie music event.
Despite having a couple of years off due to the pandemic, Laneway returned in 2023 with a bumper lineup that included HAIM, Fontaines D.C., Phoebe Bridges, Yard Act, Julia Jacklin and more. This year’s event was another crowd pleaser with the likes of Stormzy, Steve Lacy, RAYE, Dominic Fike, Angie McMahon and Faye Webster all making their mark.
Speaking about the upcoming festival, Laneway Festival Programming Coordinator Ruby Miles says, “This has to be my favourite Laneway lineup we’ve ever put together – I’m such a fangirl of all of these artists! Having Charli xcx as our headliner is a dream come true, but the lineup's depth from gates open until gates close will make Laneway 2025 so special.”
