It’s that time of year again. While most of us are forming our own top ten lists and reading up on who Pitchfork thinks released the #1 song of 2024, South Australia’s own Three D Radio have announced their annual countdown of The Top 93+7 is back next January.
Kicking off at 8:00am on Saturday, January 25, 2025, The Top 93+7 features the year's most played songs from the Three D Radio music library. Along with the countdown, music lovers can expect live on-air interviews with bands and artists from South Australia who have made the chart, with the eventual #1 song being announced around 7:00pm.
In a great sign for local music, 80% of the artists who made the count over the past two years originate from South Australia. This demonstrates not only the tremendous amount of talent SA is producing but also Three D Radio’s commitment to the SA music scene since the volunteer station first took to the airwaves on December 21, 1979.
Last year’s countdown featured a stack of incredible SA acts including Bad//Dreems, Druid Fluids, Coldwave, Oscar the Wild, Teenage Joans and West Thebarton, with alt-rockers The Empty Threats taking out the top spot with their rollicking tune, ‘Monster Truck Mondays’.
Three D Radio’s The Top 93+7 takes place on Saturday, January 25. Tune in at 93.7FM or stream via threeradio.com or the Three D Radio app.
