Future Static Plot Debut Australian Tour
The Melbourne five-piece are touring in support of their new album, Liminality.

2024 has been a super year for Melbourne alt-metal collective Future Static.
The band’s 2023 debut album Liminality topped the AIR Independent Album Chart and helped Future Static snare support spots touring the country alongside Electric Callboy and Tesseract.
Having recently toured Europe and the UK, including performing at Sziget Festival in Hungary, Radar Festival in the UK and Open Air Granichen in Switzerland, Future Static are finally back home and ready to let rip.
“It's about time we properly celebrate our debut album Liminality at home, so in January 2025 we'll be playing it in full for our first ever Australian headline tour!” the band posted on Instagram.
The band’s Australian tour kicks off at Abyss Bar in Canberra on Friday, January 17 and continues at Sydney’s Waywards on Saturday, January 18. The band then hit Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge on Sunday, January 19 and Adelaide’s Crown & Anchor on Friday, January 24, before the tour comes to a close in their hometown of Melbourne at Revolver Bandroom on Saturday, January 25.

Since the release of their debut EP Want in 2018, Future Static have been building its fanbase over the past six years with their brutal fusion of alt-rock, metalcore and prog-metal.
Comprising frontperson Amariah Cook, vocalist and bassist Kira Neil, guitarists Ryan Qualizza and Jack Smith and drummer Jackson Trudel, Future Static’s thunderous heavy tones have seen the band being touted as one of Australia’s most promising acts.
