MusicSA has come through with the goods today, revealing a 200-gig program as part of this year’s Good Music Month. South Australia will be transformed into the epicentre of live music throughout November, with artists from all walks of life taking part in the music extravaganza.

This year’s program includes festivals, international acts and local South Aussies performing at a wide range of venues across the state. Adelaide's leading heavy music festival Froth & Fury Fest and new drum and bass event AdeLOUD lead the charge, with international acts including groundbreaking German collective HEILUNG, DIY punk rocker Jeff Rosenstock, Tokyo's all-girl rockers HANABIE, Boston rockers Dropkick Murphys and indie favs Bombay Bicycle Club all performing throughout November.

When it comes to national talent, the well runs deep, with the likes of Perth rockers Birds of Tokyo, rising stars Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers, 90s alternative legends Custard and Melbourne larrikins The Grogans.

Of course, as Good Music Month takes place in SA, there’s a focus on spotlighting homegrown talent. The lineup of local acts is truly mindblowing, with some of our favourites playing in November including rock and rollers Sawcy Paws, indie singer-songwriter Elizabeth Ryui, emerging songstress Jess Day and rock collective Hindley Street Country Club.

Good Music Month also coincides with the 2024 South Australian Music Awards, which take place at Dom Polski Centre on November 7. The event is expected to be another fantastic celebration of SA’s music scene, with 33 awards being handed out on the night. Tickets for the award ceremony are on sale now via Moshtix.

Christine Schloithe, CEO of Music SA, invites everyone to explore and support live music in their local communities during Good Music Month: "Live music happens every day across South Australia, whether it's community-based, professional, grassroots, or on the main stage. We want audiences to know that artists are playing live music right in their backyard or just down the street.

“Good Music Month is here to celebrate and elevate ALL live music in South Australia throughout the entire month of November. Help us bring visibility to the live music in your community by registering for Good Music Month. Registration is free and open now. Let’s show the world just how much live music thrives around us – and let’s keep music live.”

South Australian Minister for Arts, Andrea Michaels MP adds: “Good Music Month is back, bigger and better for the second year running to showcase South Australia’s extraordinary local music scene with the support of the Malinauskas Government. We’re celebrating live music right around the state and creating opportunities for musicians as well as shining a light on our dedicated live music and hospitality venues.”
