Beddy Rays Release Sophomore Album and Announce Australian Tour
Beddy Rays return to Adelaide in August as part of their Do What Ya Wanna Australian tour.

Today marks the release of Beddy Rays’ much-anticipated sophomore album, Do What Ya Wanna.
The quartet of vocalist and guitarist Jackson “Jacko” Van Issum, guitarist Lewis McKenna, bassist Bradley O'Connor and drummer Benjamin Wade have written 11 tracks of playful Aussie alt-rock dripping with feeling. The record takes inspiration from punk icons like Green Day and Weezer, along with modern indie rock favs such as Catfish and the Bottlemen.
Preceded by the singles ‘Silverline’, ‘Hold On’, ‘Stay The Same’ and ‘Red Lights’, Do What Ya Wanna is chock full of anthemic riffs and the band’s often humorous take on the world. But it’s not all fun and games, with the album touching on themes of grief, sadness and escape, with Beddy Rays showing their vulnerable side.
“This album is us - our highs, our lows, and everything in between,” says frontman Jacko. “Writing it was a way to make sense of all the craziness life throws at you, but it’s also about not taking yourself too seriously and enjoying the ride. That’s what Beddy Rays is all about.”

Beddy Rays are currently gearing up for a run of acoustic record store performances across the country before they head on an overseas tour of the UK and Europe. Once back on home soil, Beddy Rays are hitting the road in support of Do What Ya Wanna.
The boys from Redland Bay have squared away six gigs in August, beginning with a concert at Melbourne’s Max Watts on Friday, August 1. This is followed by shows at Sydney’s The Factory Theatre on Saturday, August 2, Fremantle’s Freo Social on Friday, August 8, Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Saturday, August 9, Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Saturday, August 16, and a final show at Hobart’s Altar Bar on Saturday, August 23.
