After sharing new single ‘Worth My Time’ last week, along with an array of tour dates, singer-songwriter Tyne-James Organ has released a music video for the tune.
Taken from the rising star’s forthcoming sophomore LP, The Other Side - arriving Friday, May 16 (pre-order here), ‘Worth My Time’ was produced by ARIA award-winner Chris Collins (Gretta Ray, Budjerah, Royel Otis) and addresses the relationships we form in life.
One of the last songs recorded for his debut, Organ says the tune “had my usual sound, but when Chris added a disco-style drum loop, it took on a whole new vibe.”
The accompanying one-shot music video was directed by multi-award-winning cinematographer Jack Shepherd. In the clip, Organ finds himself being harassed by two suits wearing monkey masks who are trying to force him to sign a contract. Thankfully, it all ends well, with Organ escaping and showing off his dance moves at the end of the video.
“This music video follows an abstract story about the challenges we face when making life choices,” says Shepherd. “People often find themselves pushed toward decisions filled with uncertainty, where the outcomes can be significant. I have always loved the concept of musicians performing their songs from start to finish without breaks. We had only 30 minutes to secure the shot - Tyne’s performance, the choreography of the stunt performers, the camera movements, and the sky all aligned beautifully for us.”
