Hot Chip Announce Australian Tour (DJ Sets)

The UK electronic act are playing DJ sets across the New Year.

Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard are bringing the good vibes to venues across Australia this summer. The duo have locked in nine DJ gigs across the country where they will entertain with sets chock full of bangers that will have you up on your feet dancing the night away.

The duo behind global hits ‘Over and Over’ and ‘Ready for the Floor’ perform a special set in Bali before touching down in Australia at Froth Craft Bunbrewery in Bunbury on Sunday, December 29 for the first set of their Aussie DJ tour.

The lads then perform New Year’s Eve at The Ice Cream Factory in Perth on Tuesday, December 31 before helping Sydneysiders shake their hangovers at Inception Sydney on Wednesday, January 1.

Taylor and Goddard continue the tour with a set at Castlemaine’s Theatre Royal on Tuesday, January 2 before two gigs on the same day at Torquay Hotel in Torquay and Revolver Upstairs in Melbourne on Friday, January 3.

The lad’s Aussie jaunt then hits The Pavilion in Kiama on Saturday, January 4, Beach Hotel in Byron Bay on Sunday, January 5 and UniBar & Cloisters in Adelaide on Friday, January 10, before the tour comes to a celebratory end at Yeo Haus in Port Elliot on Saturday, January 11.

Meeting as students, the duo of Alexis Taylor and Joe Goddard formed Hot Chip way back in the year 2000. Recruiting several other musicians to fill the band out, Hot Chip made a name for themselves with their energetic mix of indie and electronica that has seen the band release eight albums over the journey, the most recent being 2022’s Freakout/Release.

Fans who attended their Australian tour DJ sets can expect to hear classic Hot Chip tunes mixed with a wild assortment of tracks from all genres, with the aim being to keep the party going all night long.
