Oscar the Wild Announce Australian Tour

The tour comes in support of the band’s forthcoming single, ‘Roll With the Punches’.

Having wowed audiences at this year’s BIGSOUND, emerging Adelaide act Oscar the Wild are embarking on their own national tour next month.

The Roll With the Punches Tour supports the band’s forthcoming single of the same name, set for release on September 25. Having had a sneak listen, we are happy to report ‘Roll With the Punches’ is another ripping tune from Oscar the Wild, albeit with a heavy message.

The boppy upbeat guitar slayer addresses the issue of violence against women and how little media attention the topic gets. It’s another thought-provoking tune from local favs that’s sure to be a hit on their tour. You can pre-save ‘Roll With the Punches’ here.

Speaking of their tour, Oscar the Wild get things underway in Adelaide with a gig at Cry Baby on Thursday, October 3. The quartet then perform at Adelaide’s Semaphore Music Festival on Sunday, October 6. The group then have shows lined up in Sydney at Botany View Hotel on Saturday, October 12, Adelaide’s Crown & Anchor on Friday, October 18 and Melbourne’s Old Bar on Saturday, October 19, before bringing the tour to a close in Brisbane at The Bearded Lady on Friday, October 25.

Tickets for Oscar the Wild’s shows at Semaphore Music Festival and their Sydney and Brisbane shows are on sale now here. The remaining dates will be up available in the coming weeks.

Comprising Ruby Gazzola (vocals, guitar, saxophone), Nicola Willsmore (guitar), Ariya Gabell (drums, vocals) and Kane Gabell), Oscar the Wild formed in 2018 and have been steadily making waves with their mesmerising brand of Aussie indie pop.

Pairing melodic riffs and grungy rhythms with topical and relevant lyrics, Oscar the Wild are growing a national fanbase eager to hear more of what these young creatives have to say.

Having toured with the likes of Middle Kids, Gang of Youths and Spacey Jane and performed at Laneway Festival, the band are on to something special and shaping as one act to keep your eye on in 2025.
