PJ Harvey Announced for WOMADelaide As Part of Her 2025 Australian Tour
This is the UK singer-songwriter’s first Australian tour in eight years.
PJ Harvey returns to Australia after an eight-year absence with a six-date tour that includes three festival performances and three headline theatre shows.
The genius behind the UK #1 album The Hope Six Demolition Project will tour during March next year, with a headline spot on the WOMADelaide bill.
Harvey’s tour begins with a concert at Kings Park & Botanic Garden in Perth as part of the Perth Festival on Tuesday, March 4. This is followed by two more festival spots at Adelaide’s WOMADelaide on Friday, March 7 and Meridith’s Golden Plains on Sunday, March 9.
The final three dates are headline gigs at Plenary in Melbourne on Tuesday, March 11, Sydney Opera House Forecourt in Sydney on Thursday, March 13 and the Great Hall at Brisbane Convention & Entertainment Centre in Brisbane on Saturday, March 15.
Accompanying Harvey for her shows in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane is Dirty Three’s electric and bass guitarist Mick Turner.
Tickets for WOMADelaide are currently on sale now, while those keen on getting to Golden Plains to see the English songstress can register here. Perth fans can score tickets to Harvey’s appearance at the Perth Festival on Monday, October 21 here.
As for Harvey’s festival sideshows, pre-sale tickets go on sale Thursday, October 17 at 9:30am. You can register for access here.
Sydneysiders can score general on-sale tickets at 8:30am on Thursday, October 24, while Melbourne and Brisbane punters can hop online and score tickets at 9:30am this Friday, October 18. For full ticketing information visit PJ Harvey’s website.
PJ Harvey’s 2025 tour is in support of last year’s I Inside the Old Year Dying, the singer and multi-instrumentalist’s much-celebrated tenth album.
Produced by Flood (U2, Nine Inch Nails, Interpol) and John Parish (KT Tunstall, Aldous Harding), the record was widely praised by music critics, with Pitchfork awarding I Inside the Old Year Dying 7.9/10 and NME calling it “elusive and mesmerising.”
After the album’s release, Harvey embarked on a run of European dates in 2023 and has spent much of this year playing festivals across Europe along with headline gigs in North America.
Touching down in March 2025, fans can expect a mix from Harvey’s entire catalogue, with the avant-garde artist known for her captivating live performances.
Catch PJ Harvey at Botanic Park as part of WOMADelaide on Friday, March 7, 2025. Tickets on sale now via the WOMADelaide website.
