Returning to our shores for the first time in five years, electronic indie pop queen Róisín Murphy is performing four special concerts across the country in March 2025.

The Mercury Music Prize nominated artist behind tunes such as ‘Overpowered’, ‘Ramalama (Bang Bang)’ and ‘You Know Me Better’, along with Moloko hit singles ‘Sing it Back’ and ‘The Time Is Now’, is performing three headline shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney and also appearing at next year’s bumper WOMADelaide festival.

Murphy begins her Australian tour in Melbourne as part of the Live At the Garden festivities, performing on Friday, March 7. Next up she takes to the stage in Adelaide as part of WOMADelaide on Saturday, March 8. The final two gigs take place at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Tuesday, March 11 and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Thursday, March 13.

Frontier Members will have access to early bird tickets for the Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney gigs via an exclusive pre-sale beginning Monday, November 18, at 10:30 a.m. General public on-sale kicks off on Wednesday, November 20 at 10:30am. For the past three decades, Róisín Murphy has been at the forefront of the electronic pop movement. Born in Ireland, it wasn’t until her family moved to Manchester when she was a teenager that Murphy found herself falling in love with music.

Murphy’s career took off several years later when she met local bassist Mark Brydon at a party and the duo formed Moloko. The band became a huge success, releasing global hits ‘Sing It Back’ and ‘The Time Is Now’ before going their separate ways in 2004.

The end of Moloko saw Murphy move to London and embark on a solo career that has produced six inspiring records, including 2020s massively successful Róisín Machine. Her most recent album, last year’s Hit Parade, features Murphy collaborating with Hamburg producer DJ Koze. Peaking at #5 on the UK Album Chart, her highest entry to date, the album was acclaimed by critics and led to the Hit Parade Remixes.

Having recently wowed crowds with a performance at London’s historic Royal Albert Hall that included Murphy backed by her incredible live band and an array of costume changes, expect a live show like no other when Murphy performs in Australia next year.

Catch Róisín Murphy at WOMADelaide on Saturday, March 8. Tickets on sale now via womadelaide.com.au.
