The Dark Side of Thebartonia Returns This Weekend
The return of the Wheaty’s famous street party is not to be missed!
The Dark Side of Thebartonia returns to the Wheatsheaf Hotel this weekend for a night of eats, drinks and awesome live music. The first winter (and first 'post-COVID') version of the Wheaty’s community street party features a rollicking musical lineup of fantastic local talent you can dance the night away to.
Kicking off at 4pm this Saturday, August 24, the free event consists of two stages of live music with a slew of local acts showcasing how awesome the Adelaide live music scene is. Those playing include the riotous force that is Mondo Psycho, guitarist extraordinaire Didier Kumalo, the vibrant Women in Jazz Big Band, indie rockers Velvet Moth, singer-songwriter Ryan Martin-John, art folk collective Wake in Fright and sprawling folksters Bromham.
If that’s not enough to get you excited, there will be several food trucks for those who get peckish, with Moi An, Cheesy Street, Daisy Burger and Soza's Sri Lankan serving up tasty treats throughout the night.
Vinyl lovers will be able to grab some new records via Crackle & Pop Records while all those wanting to support this iconic pub can grab some official Wheaty merch to show their love.
All your favourite local and national beers will be available to sample, along with the festival’s own beer - 'Dark Thebby' - a smooth, chocolatey, honest Dark Ale with an ABV of 4.8%
The Dark Side of Thebartonia promises to be a wonderful night of entertainment and a great way to show your support for Adelaide's live music scene. Get around it!
The Dark Side of Thebartonia takes place this Saturday, August 24 from 4pm-12am. Entry is free. For more details visit the official event page here.
