Celebrate the 35th Anniversary of ‘Batman’ with Batman in Concert
Watch 1989s Batman on the big screen accompanied by Australia’s finest symphony orchestras performing the soundtrack live.
It’s a milestone year for everybody’s favourite comic book detective. Not only does 2024 mark 85 years since the creation of Batman by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, but it’s also the 35th anniversary of Tim Burton’s movie version of The Dark Knight. To celebrate this momentous occasion, TEG Life Like Touring and TCG are bringing Batman in Concert to Australia
This spectacular production allows you the chance to watch Michael Keaton strut his stuff on the big screen as Batman while Australia’s finest symphony orchestra perform Danny Elfman’s iconic score live. There will also be additional lighting and special merchandise on sale, with ticket holders encouraged to come dressed as their favourite DC superhero or villain.
Batman in Concert begins in Melbourne with three shows at the Regent Theatre from Thursday, October 24 to Saturday, October 26. The tour then hits Adelaide for two performances at AEC Arena on Wednesday, November 13 to Thursday, November 14, Perth for two concerts on Friday, November 29 and Saturday, November 30 at PCEC Riverside Theatre and Brisbane’s BCEC Great Hall for shows on Tuesday, December 3 and Wednesday, December 4. The final concerts take place in Hobart at MyState Bank Arena on Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14 and in Sydney at ICC Sydney Theatre on Friday, January 10.
An orchestra from each city has been chosen to perform the score, with John Foreman's Australian Pops Orchestra playing in Melbourne, the Southern Cross Symphony Orchestra in Adelaide, the Perth Symphony Orchestra in Perth, the Metropolitan Orchestra in Brisbane, the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra in Hobart and the Metropolitan Orchestra in Sydney.
When it comes to tickets, there’s an eye-opening five pre-sales before general sale tickets are available on Friday, August 30. The first two pre-sale options are the RACV Member pre-sale and CLIQT pre-sale that commence this Friday, August 23 at 8:30am local time and run until 8:30am on Sunday, August 25.
The Symphony Orchestra pre-sale kicks off on Monday, August 26 at 8:30am local time and goes until Tuesday, August 27 at 8:30am local time. This is followed by the My Ticketek pre-sale from 3:30pm local time on Tuesday, August 27 until 8:30am local time, Friday, August 30.
The final pre-sale option is John Foreman’s Australian Pops Orchestra which takes place on Wednesday, August 28 from 3:30am local time until 8:30am local time on Friday, August 30, the day general admission tickets go on sale.

Released in 1989, Batman was a surprise critical and commercial success, earning over $400 million at the box office and kicking off the superhero craze some 35 years ago.
The film stars Micheal Keaton as Batman going up against Jack Nicholson’s Joker, with a supporting cast including Kim Basinger, Robert Wuhl, Pat Hingle, Billy Dee Williams, Michael Gough, and Jack Palance.
Batman is memorable for Burton’s dark and pulpy take on the character, with both Keaton and Nicholson praised for their incredible performances. Elfman’s incredible score is regarded as one of the best in the business, while Prince contributes music to the movie, giving it another dimension.

The album was recorded at Eventim Apollo in London earlier this year.
