White Lion’s Mike Tramp Announces 2025 Australian Tour

The legendary vocalist returns to Australia for the first time in almost 20 years.

Mike Tramp, vocalist of glam rockers White Lion, returns to Australia in 2025 for the first time in almost two decades.

Although White Lion are no more, Tramp recently re-recorded versions of the band’s greatest hits, releasing the albums The Songs Of White Lion and The Songs of While Lion Vol. II. Receiving a warm reception from fans, Tramp is now touring under the name Mike Tramp’s White Lion, bringing his entertaining live show our way next year.

Speaking about his fondness for Australia, Tramp says: “When I moved to Australia at the end of 1999, I totally fell in love with Australia and the Aussie way of life. Unfortunately, I had arrived too late and was not able to build a music career there. But the many shows I got to play around Australia, is forever embedded in me, and when I moved back home to Denmark in 2008, I swore that I was not done with Australia.

“Now at the end of January 2025 the dream is coming true and I get the bring Songs of White Lion to Australia with a full band, and it thrills me that I once again get a chance to see familiar faces in the crowd, and can now honestly say that I have now done it all. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!"

Mike Tramp’s White Lion tour begins in Brisbane at The Brightside on Wednesday, January 29. This is followed by dates at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Friday, January 31, Sydney’s Crowbar on Saturday, February 1 and Adelaide’s Crown & Anchor on Sunday, February 2.

Founded in New York City by Danish vocalist and guitarist Mike Tramp and Italian-American guitarist Vito Bratte, White Lion achieved great success during the 80s and early 90s.

The band’s 1987 sophomore record Pride spawned the hit singles ‘Wait’ and ‘When the Children Cry’ before the group disbanded in 1992.

They’ve reformed and broken up several times over the past 30 years, with Tramp now performing reimagined versions of White Lion hits to adoring fans across the globe.
