BLUE LUCY ANNOUNCE EP ‘CIGARETTES AND FORGET’ & 2024 AUSTRALIAN TOUR
The band play Jive on Friday May 31 in support of their forthcoming EP.

Aussie outfit Blue Lucy has dropped some huge news this week. Not only are the Adelaide legends releasing a new EP, Cigarettes and Forget, but the five-piece has also announced they’re heading out on tour this May.
The lad’s East Coast tour starts in Terrigal on the Central Coast at House of Strings on Wednesday May 15. Blue Lucy then hit the Mereweather Beach Hotel in Newcastle on Thursday May 16, Miami Marketta on the Gold Coast on Friday May 17, Tomcat in Brisbane on Saturday May 18, Towradgi Beach Hotel in Wollongong on Thursday May 24, The Trocadero Toom in Enmore on Friday May 25 and The Tote in Melbourne on Thursday May 30. The final show of the tour takes place in Blue Lucy’s hometown at Jive on Friday May 31.
The tour comes in support of Blue Lucy’s forthcoming EP, Cigarettes and Forget, which is set for release on Friday April 26. So far they’ve released three singles from the EP, ‘Cold Dreams’, ‘Last Year in Amsterdam’ and latest tune, ‘Belong To Love’, which came out today. The track is a breezy summer indie number you can check out above.
It’s a fantastic taster of what to expect from Cigarettes and Forget, which was recorded and engineered by James Catford at Twin Earth Studios and mastered by Polybonk’s Darren Zeising.
“We shift around from song to song a fair bit,” the band says in a statement according to Music Feeds. “Blue Lucy has never been or never will be a single genre or community band. We love most types of music and we like to allow ourselves to create whatever comes out of us.”
Ticket details for Blue Lucy’s 2024 Australian tour will be released soon. Cigarettes and Forget is set to drop on Friday April 26.
